Update: Thinning
Alright a couple of things to update today. First off I went ahead and began the proccess of "thinning" the crops. Essentially I selected the best plant per bunch and chopped off the rest. Also, since the Pepperochini were down to 1 plant and the Bhut all died off I have ordered 4 of each as a plant to compensate for the loss.
Overall I 'd say the thinning went rather well, and most of the plants are no longer looking like they are trying to compete with one another and the spacing is back to looking normal again. I'll post a few more pictures if I get the chance to tomorrow.
Also, I have not yet decided to transplant them to a larger container and may instead just transplant them to thier final resting place in my planter boxes instead. More to come tomorrow hopefully... Planting day at the moment is estimated sometime the first week in May.

Something to ponder on...
Note to self: Dear self; next year plant the harder to sprout, longer duration seeds in their OWN SEPARATE Mini-Greenhouses. Apparently the Bhut may not sprout this year due to this fact so I'm currently tracking down a way to possibly buy the plants instead of the seeds. More to come soon...
In other news, sorry for the lack of an update lately. I spent this past weekend down at the Cherry blossom festivals with the best Girlfriend under the Sun (well My sun at least =). I'll update some photos when I get a chance but, so far so good. I still lost 3 or 4 varieties due to the issue explained below, however, everything else survived and is doing quite well!
Also I may end up transplanting the seedlings to their own individual larger semi-potting kits. We'll see how my free time and ambition play out this week...

A glimmer of Hope
Well today I decided to cut a pod out and take it with me to the local garden center. Turns out, if you put your plants outside in a greenhouse, LEAVE THE LID OFF. Apparently the temperature goes up too fast (dramatic temperature changes) and caused cells on the tops of the leaves to burst, thus causing the black discoloring observed.
Long story short, I've been advised to get them in direct sunlight as fast as possible and hope for the best. Sadly though i've lost two varities entirely, with a few more on thier way out the door. I've decided to place them outside day/night unless a storm is predicted for the day or a freeze that night.
More to come if they survive!
